49ers restructure Christian McCaffrey’s contract, create $8.576 million in cap room

The 49ers were quiet on night one of the 2023 NFL Draft, but we got some news today, the 49ers have restructured the contract of Christian McCaffrey, clearing $8.576 million, meaning they added 2 void years to his deal to maximize savings.

Prior to the start of Day 2 of the draft, per source:

The 49ers restructured the contract of RB Christian McCaffrey to create $8.576M in salary cap space.

The Raiders restructured the contract of OLB Chandler Jones, creating $5.068M in cap space.
