Today I’m going to go over what kind of contract Mike McGlinchey can expect to get when he hits free agency in 2023.
I really believe that McGlinchey will play his way out of the 49ers price range, ala Laken Tomlinson, & D.J. Jones.
I have McGlinchey likely getting $15 million or more per year, which is a number the 49ers can’t afford, as they need to prioritize Emmanuel Moseley, and would be wise to extend him ASAP, as they’d be able to save some cap room.
But if for some reason the 49ers do re-sign McGlinchey, I’d expect him to get $15 million a year, with yearly $750,000 per game roster bonuses, and yearly $100,000 workout bonuses.
But as I said before, I just can’t see the 49ers allocating that kind of money to McGlinchey, especially when they’re paying Trent Williams $23.06 million a year.
