49ers center Alex Mack has officially retired

Hours after news broke that Alex Mack had restructured his deal, the news that many 49ers fans were hoping to not be the case is true, Alex Mack has officially retired from the NFL after 13-years.

Seven-time Pro Bowl center Alex Mack is retiring after 13 seasons. The former Browns, Falcons and 49ers standout was one of the top linemen of his era. @BallySports @49ers
