With June 1st right around the corner, it looks like the Dee Ford experience is coming to an end, as TheAthletic’s Matt Barrows tweeted out that the 49ers are expected to release Ford in the coming weeks.

The move will save the team $1.12 million in cash, but just $225,000 in cap room due to the top 51 rule where someone making $895,000 will take Ford’s spot.

As always, I thank you for reading, leave a comment, or follow me on Twitter @49erscap.
