Note: The reason I’m doing 91 is because the 49ers are able to carry Alfredo Gutierrez on their roster without him counting against the 90-man limit.

Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: It’s highly unlikely that Martin, or fellow UDFA Taysir Mack makes the 2022 roster, but look for one of them, or both to make the practice squad.

Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: It’s highly unlikely that Mack, or fellow UDFA Tay Martin makes the 2022 roster, but look for one of them, or both to make the practice squad.

RB 41 Jordan Mason(2024)
2022 Cap Number: $708,333
Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: Mason is an intriguing pickup as a UDFA, but I expect him to battle for a spot on the teams’ practice squad.

FS 41 Tayler Hawkins(2024)
2022 Cap Number: $708,333
Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: Hawkins, a UDFA out of San Diego State, is unlikely to be on the active roster, but he could be a candidate for the practice squad.

TE 84 Tanner Hudson(2022)
2022 Cap Number: $895,000
Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: I just can’t see Hudson making the team, maybe the practice squad, but I think the team likes Ross Dwelley more.

TE 88 Jordan Matthews(2022)
2022 Cap Number: $895,000
Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: Like with Tanner Hudson, I just can’t see Matthews making the team, for the same reason.

TE 49 Troy Fumagalli(2022)

Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: Again, like with the above 2 tight ends, I don’t see Fumagalli making the roster.

CB 43 Qwuantrezz Knight(2024)
2022 Cap Number: $707,000
Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: I view Knight as a practice squader for sure, I don’t see him making the 53, but wouldn’t be shocked if he did.

LEO 58 Alex Barrett(2022)
2022 Cap Number: $825,000
Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: The 49ers have added too many edge rushers for Barrett to make the team, but the practice squad is still an option.

WR KeeSean Johnson(2022)
2022 Cap Number: $895,000
Chance of making Roster: Longshot
Analysis: The 49ers have have too many receivers for Johnson to make the team, but the practice squad is still an option.
