Today, we end our 9-part series showing how much of the 49ers 2022 salary cap a certain position group takes up, and today we continue with the special teamers.
Players Under Contract: PK Robbie Gould(2022), P Mitch Wishnowsky(2022), & LS Taybor Pepper(2022)
Total Cap Hit: $7,785,331
This is the easiest group to predict, cause there’s only 3 players, with Gould($5,509,313 against the cap), Wishnowsky($1,156,018), & Pepper($1.12 million) all locked into roster spots.
Now, the team did have a horrendous special teams in 2021, so this year should, hopefully, be better, as they added Ray-Ray McCloud III to be the team new returner, while they added special teams aces Oren Burks, & George Odum, so I have a positive outlook on the special teams.
