It’s about that time. It’s about two weeks after the Super Bowl, and it’s time for the National Football League Prospects to make their first impression on the 32 teams of the NFL. It’s time for the NFL combine.<\/p>\n

If you’re a Madden player like myself, you have already started the grind to get some of the combined Legends, such as Chris Johnson, who ran the 40 yard Dash at a 4.24 speed, or Cam Newton, who put up Impressive numbers At the Combine as well.<\/p>\n

For those who don’t know what the NFL scouting combine is, it is a week-long event that tests and showcases the prospect’s skills, intelligence, and other attributes. It is held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis every March before the NFL free agency begins. The NFL Scouting Combine is an invite-only event for the prospects. They must bring their A-game if they plan to impress the coaches and scouts of the NFL.<\/p>\n

The Drills that make up the combine are listed below:
\n– The Bench Press
\n– Vertical Jump
\n– Broad Jump
\n– Three-cone Drill
\n– 20-yard shuttle
\n– 60-yard shuttle
\n– 40-yard Dash<\/p>\n

The drill that has the world glued to their television sets or, in today’s world, their smartphones is the 40-yard dash. In 2017, wide receiver John Ross ran a 4.22, setting the record for the fastest 40-yard dash time recorded at the NFL Scouting Combine.
\nThe late great Al Davis said, \u201cThey say the stopwatch never lies. Speed kills, but absolute speed kills absolutely.\u201d No one is saying the fastest players in the NFL are the best players, but speed is one attribute that you can’t teach.<\/p>\n

Beginning March 1, The NFL network will be covering the NFL Scouting Combine. On March 3, the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends will perform. On March 4, the offensive lineman and special teams will perform. March 5, the defensive linemen and the linebackers perform. On March 6, the defensive backs, cornerbacks, and safeties will close out the combine.<\/p>\n

There will be many prospects to keep an eye on. On the offensive side, keep an eye on Pitt\u2019s QB Kenny Pickett. He had an impressive season and went 6-6 for 89 yards and a touchdown in the Reese\u2019s Senior Bowl. The quarterback that will more than likely stand out the most is Malik Willis from Liberty.
\nOn the defensive side, there will be so many prospects to keep an eye on. The number one defensive player that comes to mind is Michigan\u2019s edge rusher, Aidan Hutchinson. Expect him to perform well in all the events, especially the cone drills. A sleeper to watch is Georgia\u2019s Lewis Cine on the last day of the combine.<\/p>\n

Three hundred twenty-four prospects are invited to the combine to perform for NFL coaches and scouts. It is up to the players to show up and show out. The Scouting Combine will be the first step for many of the prospects for the NFL Draft in April. Who will test and perform well? Well, we will have to wait and see.
