Arik Armstead had, but different than what Trent Williams has.

The difference is if the 49ers decline the option bonus, that $2.155 million gets added onto his 2022 base salary, if exercised, which right now it’s being treated as likely, it would prorate at $538,750 a year from 2022-2025.

Now let’s break the deal down by year.

2021:

Cap Number: $2,251,471
Base Salary: $1.075 million (fully guaranteed)
Prorated Bonus: $800,000
Per Game Roster Bonus: $400,000

Cash Earned: $5.475 million

2022:

Cap Number: $2,958,750
Base Salary: $1,120,000 (fully guaranteed)
Prorated Bonus: $1,338,750
Per Game Roster Bonus: $400,000
Workout Bonus: $100,000

Cash Earned: $3.775 million

2023:

Cap Number: $6,588,750
Base Salary: $4.75 million ($1.25 million fully guaranteed)
Prorated Bonus: $1,388,750
Per Game Roster Bonus: $400,000
Workout Bonus: $100,000

Cash Earned: $5.25 million

2024:

Cap Number: $7,588,750
Base Salary: $5.75 million
Prorated Bonus: $1,338,750
Per Game Roster Bonus: $400,000
Workout Bonus: $100,000

Cash Earned: $6.25 million

2025:

Cap Number: $7,588,750
Base Salary: $5.75 million
Prorated Bonus: $1,338,750
Per Game Roster Bonus: $400,000
Workout Bonus: $100,000

Cash Earned: $6.25 million

Like I said the other day about Trent Williams’ deal, about is he worth his contract, and ultimately I said yes, so is Kyle Juszyzck worth his deal, the answer is, YES, no one else in the NFL does what Juszyzck does, he’s the best fullback in the NFL.

I know Juszyzck makes way more than the next fullback, being $2.15 million more than Steelers’ Derek Watt, but he does so much that a lot of these guys, even from college, just don’t offer, he can catch, run the ball, block, lineup at TE, and in the Slot.

So while someone like Notre Dame’s Tommy Tremble would have been enticing, re-signing Kyle Juszyzck was a no-brainer, plus I went on record as to say the 49ers would re-sign both Trent Williams, & Kyle Juszyzck, and well, they did it.

So with all of this said, I thank everyone for reading article, as always you can follow me on Twitter @49erscap, or leave a comment below, and I’ll get back to you.

[5,4,3,2

post-2586","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-analysis","category-exclusive","category-roster","category-salary-cap
["GET
