{"id":12062,"date":"2022-05-27T12:00:04","date_gmt":"2022-05-27T16:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/49erscap.com\/?p=12062"},"modified":"2022-05-20T21:41:43","modified_gmt":"2022-05-21T01:41:43","slug":"ranking-the-49ers-2022-roster-21-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/49erscap.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/27\/ranking-the-49ers-2022-roster-21-30\/","title":{"rendered":"Ranking the 49ers 2022 Roster: 21-30"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re continuing the \u00a09-part series where I rank each player, from 1-91, &amp; of course today we\u2019re ranking players 21-30.<\/p>\n<p>Note: The reason I\u2019m doing 91 is because the 49ers are able to carry Alfredo Gutierrez on their roster without him counting against the 90-man limit.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"30\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> FS\/SS 33 Tarvarius Moore(2022)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$1,035,000<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>I envision Moore being the teams new starting strong safety, and coming off the torn Achilles, hopefully he\u2019s 100%, cause this is one of the spots I\u2019m more worried about.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"29\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> WR\/KR\/PR 3 Ray-Ray McCloud III(2023)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$1,910,000<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>The 49ers added the best returner on the open market with McCloud, who had 39 catches, 277 yards, while also having 776 kick return yards, &amp; 367 punt return yards, so McCloud should be a huge upgrade over the likes of Trenton Cannon, &amp; JaMycal Hasty, &amp; should also get some decent playing time at WR.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"28\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> RG 76 Jaylon Moore(2024)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$905,759<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>Another player based, mostly on potential, Moore played well when he played at right tackle, but I envision him as the teams\u2019 new right guard.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"27\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> LEO 95 Drake Jackson(2025)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$1,071,344<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>The 49ers made Jackson the 61<sup>st<\/sup>-overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, and I envision him being that speedy edge rusher opposite Nick Bosa long term.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"26\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> LG 65 Aaron Banks(2024)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$1,607,638<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>This is based on potential, as I believe Banks will be a very good replacement for Laken Tomlinson at left guard, and while he didn\u2019t get in many games in 2021, his college tape shows how good he can be, &amp; putting him at his college position should help him develop.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"25\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> DE 92 Kerry Hyder Jr.(2022)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$1,500,000<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>Hyder is BACK, after a season with the Seattle Seahawks, where he only had 1.5 sacks, he\u2019s back with defensive line coach Kris Kocurek, &amp; hopefully he has another good season like in 2020 when he had 8.5 sacks.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"24\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> LEO 53 Kemoko Turay(2022)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$1,700,000<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>The 49ers signed Turay late in free agency to a 1-year, $1.7 million deal, with $1 million fully guaranteed, and he\u2019s coming off a very good season, where he had 5.5 sacks for the Indianapolis Colts, so I expect him to do nice things with the 49ers, and this rotation of edge rushers.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"23\">\n<li>\n<h1><strong> DT\/NT 99 Javon Kinlaw(2023)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>2022 Cap Number: <\/strong>$4,224,191<br \/>\n<strong>Chance of making Roster: <\/strong>Lock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis: <\/strong>Javon\u2019s 2<sup>nd<\/sup>-year didn\u2019t go as planned, but I really am high on him, and I believe he\u2019ll be able to help replace the production of former 49ers NT D.J.
